These can be used for whatever; if you do choose to use them, for whatever reason, please just credit either sunsingergirl or sunliness. I mostly was just having fun screencapping and listening to the end credits soundtrack as I went. Icons made from these pics will be posted... someday. >>
The first (obvious to anyone who knows the series even a tiny bit) is a picture of the entire inutachi - that is, InuYasha's group of friends and comrades. It consists of: InuYasha himself, usually seen wearing the red haori and hakama, with the long thick silver hair; Kagome, the young black-haired girl in the green and white schoolgirl uniform; Miroku, the monk with the staff and purple robes; Sango, the female demon slayer with the huge boomerang; Shippou, the little kitsune (trickster) boy with the red hair and the big fuzzy orange fox tail; and Kirara, Sango's nekoyoukai (cat demon) companion, who can take the form of a small white and black cat - or a really, really big one.
The second pic is of Kikyou, another major character of the show. Kikyou is the priestess who was guarding the shikon no tama when InuYasha came sniffing around for it fifty years before the series begins. She died to protect it, thinking that she had been betrayed by InuYasha, whom she loved. Kagome, the girl from the future, is Kikyou's reincarnation.
These two are mostly just closeups of InuYasha, the main protagonist of the story. He's half demon, half human, and his father was this huge, amazing Lord/General, who died protecting him and his human mother the night he was born. He's always hated being half human, so he goes after the shikon no tama to "correct" this.
Another cap of InuYasha, staying solitary beneath the full moon. The moon plays a major role in his life, but not when it's full, as most would think; he changes into a human every month on the night of the new moon.
The next is of Kagome, who becomes one of the more popular love interests for InuYasha as the series progresses. She fights her feelings for InuYasha, always second-guessing herself and thinking that any love he could have for her wouldn't be for her - but for Kikyou, her previous incarnation. She's a 15-year-old middle school student from modern-day Tokyo, who lives on a shrine with her mother, grandfather, and younger brother Souta. The way she goes back and forth between her own time and the sengoku jidai - which is where InuYasha and the others live - is by going down into a dry well behind the main house of the shrine.
I capped this scene mostly just because it was so neat, visually speaking. It's Kagome, reaching through a mirror at herself.
InuYasha and Kagome, always at odds, it seems. Their personalities clash, and they fight, but throughout the story they remain friends, becoming better friends as they tackle problem after problem, fight after fight, together. No matter how much they yell and scream and abuse each other, it's always apparent that they still care deeply about the other.
Another shot of the inutachi as a whole, and the bubbles. XD Mostly, these were just breathtaking, visually, especially combined with the music of the end credits.
The first is of InuYasha again, and, again, it's just a stunning scene.
The second is of Sesshomaru, InuYasha's older, full youkai half-brother. Since their father's death, he became the lord overseeing their father's lands - which he inherited. He's beautiful, but he despises humans of every size and sort, and he absolutely abhors the fact that his own flesh and blood pursued one and created a bastard child with her. Every chance that he gets, he tries to take out his younger brother, despite the fact that they are a force to be reckoned with when they work together.
More caps of InuYasha. He's a troubled soul, yes indeed. XD
The next cap is of the entire inutachi again, but easier, this time, to see everyone. It's also visually stunning, especially in the video, with the fireflies actually moving around the group.
The one after that is of InuYasha,
InuYasha and Kagome, with her bike, in the first one, and then Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippou are added seconds later.
Again - InuYasha is a poor, troubled boy.
Probably the most adorable cap I could've hoped to make from these end credit videos: Shippou and his father. Both are full kitsune (fox demons/tricksters), and Kagome and InuYasha run across Shippou not long after his father was murdered and skinned by another demon. He's only a child, but he had the guts to try to steal their shards out from under their noses, and Kagome automatically took him under her wing after the entire thing was resolved and the demons responsible for his father's death (the Thunder Brothers) were destroyed.
